Curriculum
Allegro Learning Center uses the A Beka curriculum starting approximately at age 2 with the teaching of sounds, letter shapes and image recognition. A Beka is one of the largest and most widely recognized, Christian textbook publishers in the world.
Infant: From the day we enter into this world our journey begins. We start to learn about our environment, people, faces, sounds, feelings and smelling etc. Our staff we be their to bring about consistent intimate relationship to communicate love, and security to your baby. Our primary goal is to help both parent and child feel secure. In the earliest stages, an infant's needs are met through rocking, singing lullabies, playful chatter and individual attention to physical needs. As baby grows, we provide opportunities for safe exploration to foster a natural curiosity.
Toddler: As we develop into toddler, we begin to learn through imitation, observation, experimentation and exploration. This is part of growing up and we encourage acceptable behavior through
interaction. We plan our curriculum and organize an environment where toddlers can find what they need and do things on their own. We help each child develop language skills and
encourage toddlers to express themselves as their personalities begin to emerge.
Preschool: We are more inquisitive and ready to fix things that do not look right to us. In this classroom things are more structured in teams of learning than in the younger classroom. We work on
problem solving, sharing, self esteem, friendliness, helping each other and getting ready for the BIG K class. We recognize children as individuals who develop at their own pace, in
their own time. Our program helps them get along with others and helps the children use make-believe to further their growth. Through the program, development of confidence and a positive self-image
are heavily emphasized. At this age the children begin to go on field trips in and out of the community.
Our facility is like a home environment. We know what parents go through when they get home from work. The staff at Allegro Learning Center want to help ease the tension. Our trained
loving teachers and aides will help and encourage the children in any way positively to do their homework before the parents pick them up.
